Canute Consulting was founded by Principal Consultant, Germaine Canute Phillips in January 2021 whose desire is to share his extensive wealth of knowledge in the sales profession of which he is passionate.
Germaine is a Technology Sales Consultant, experienced sales leader and client relationship expert with an excess of fifteen (15) years experience managing clients across various sectors and countries. He is highly skilled working with global vendors and has the proven ability to build and maintain professional business relationships with high-net-worth clients while simultaneously providing exceptional service.
Mr. Phillips has also served as a director of Jamaica Business Process Outsourcing Association, contributing as a valued stakeholder on the continued development of his country’s fast-growing BPO industry and participating in the policy direction of the association.
In previous dispensations at Digicel Business, Symptai Consulting, Margaritaville Caribbean Group and Simply Secure Group, Germaine amassed a wealth of experience in various roles ranging from account manager – enterprise, account manager – SMB, to sales manager leading a high-performance sales team. His extensive background in regional sales and key portfolio management has afforded him a unique perspective on the fundamentals that govern the sales process in performance driven organizations. Earlier in his career, his customer facing skills were honed within Jamaica’s revered hospitality and tourism industry at Sandals Resorts.
Germaine is a married father of two girls, loves watching history documentaries, listening to all genres of music and is an avid track and field fan.
Mr. Phillips holds a BBA in marketing from the University of Technology, Jamaica, Certificate in Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies from Harvard Business School, Talent Optimization Certificate from the Predictive Index and additional certifications in business plan writing, vendor sales and cybersecurity.
He is a knowledgeable, trained professional with experience using innovative tools and globally proven techniques for business development, training and sales strategy.
